# Fixing Blank TV Guides (EPG)

A blank Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is incredibly frustrating because it leaves you surfing through channels completely blind. When your guide displays "No Information" or fails to load upcoming show times, it usually means your player's local database file has become corrupted, or your app's memory cache is completely bogged down.

Your IPTV player downloads the TV guide as a massive database file from our servers. Follow this guide to wipe out old data jams and force a clean, fresh guide synchronization.

### Step 1: Trim Your Guide's Data Cache

Keeping too many days of past TV guide schedules eats up a massive amount of internal storage space on devices like Firesticks and Google TV Streamers. This data build-up eventually causes the guide synchronization to time out and fail.

#### For TiviMate Users

1. From the main screen, open the sidebar menu and navigate to Settings > EPG.
2. Scroll down and locate Past days to keep EPG.
3. Lower this setting to 1 day (or 0). There is no reason to store data for shows that have already aired.
4. Locate Days to keep EPG (for future listings) and set it to a manageable 2 or 3 days instead of a full week.

#### For IPTV Smarters Pro Users

1. Go to the main home dashboard and click the Settings Gear Icon in the top right corner.
2. Click on EPG Timeline or EPG Management.
3. Look for data retention options and ensure your system isn't hoarding weeks of old guide history.

### Step 2: Clear Out the Corrupted Files

Before forcing a fresh download, you must clear out the old, broken database files that are blocking the pipeline.

**1.Navigate to App Storage Settings:**Step 1.

Exit your IPTV app completely. Go to your streaming device's system settings (e.g., Firestick Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications, or Google TV Settings > Apps).

**2.Clear the Application Cache:**Step 2.

Select your IPTV player app from the list. Click Force Stop first, then scroll down and click Clear Cache. *(Warning: Never click "Clear Data" or you will wipe out your login details).*

**3.Clear the In-App EPG Database:**Step 3.

Reopen your IPTV player app. Head into the app's internal Settings > EPG, look for the button labeled Clear EPG Data (or *Clear Cache* inside the app), and click it. Your TV Guide grid will temporarily go completely blank—this is exactly what we want.

**4.Force a Manual Sync Update:**Step 4.

While still in that same internal EPG settings menu, highlight and click the Update EPG button. Keep this settings screen open and let the progress bar run fully until it confirms that thousands of channel lines have successfully updated.

### 🛠️ Still Blank? Check for a URL Update

If you completed the steps above and your guide still says "No Information," the source link has likely changed.

IPTV channels and TV Guides pull data from completely separate server paths. Sometimes, a provider updates their channel streams while migrating their EPG to a brand new domain layout.

* The Fix: Reach out to your provider's support channel (Discord, Telegram, or support desk) and ask if they have issued a new EPG Source URL.
* How to apply it: If they give you a new link, go to your app's EPG Settings, select EPG Sources, click Add Source, and paste the new URL link directly into the setup field. Assign it to your playlist, run a fresh manual update, and your TV listings will instantly return to your screen.
